Philosophy
Finding the right fit is essential when seeking a new therapist. In order to do the hard work of therapy, it’s important that you feel safe, understood, and respected. As a therapist, I provide a warm, non-judgmental, and collaborative space for clients to overcome the barriers standing in the way of living life to the fullest. I strive to honor each client's unique identities and experiences by individualizing my clinical approach and meeting clients where they are.
I firmly believe that clients are the experts on their own lives and are the best judges of their own experiences. In our work together, I view my role as guide and ally, learning alongside you on your journey. Whether you are seeking therapy to change negative patterns in your life, improve relationships, learn skills, explore your identity, or develop a greater sense of self-love and acceptance, I am here to help. Come as you are, leave as you want to be.

Approach
My approach to therapy is client-centered, strength-based, and relational, which means that our work together is catered to your individual needs, preferences, and relational style. I seek to help clients understand the nuances of how their thoughts, emotions, and past experiences influence their behavior in the present. I also integrate the mindfulness skills and emotion regulation practices of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help reduce symptoms and to increase distress tolerance.
I work with people of all ages on issues related to overall life satisfaction, stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, body-image concerns, postpartum transitions, relationships, identity, and self esteem. I look forward to the opportunity to collaborate with you as you start your journey towards health, vitality, and well-being.

Experience
I have been in practice for 10 years and have extensive experience providing individual, couples, and group therapy within college counseling, community mental health, hospital, and private practice settings. I completed my Internship at Miami University’s Student Counseling Service, where I received specialized training in CPT for the treatment of PTSD, as well as multicultural counseling. My postdoctoral training included a fellowship at the Eating Recovery Center of Chicago, and an additional supervised experience at a group private practice specializing in women's mental health.
