She/Her
Carmen Franco, Psy.D. is a bilingual (English/Spanish) advanced postdoctoral fellow providing secure telehealth therapy across Illinois. She helps adolescents, college students, and adults navigate anxiety, ADHD, depression, life transitions, LGBTQIA+ identity questions, and substance-use concerns. Carmen pairs multicultural, trauma-informed care with evidence-based tools—from CBT and ACT to mindfulness and solution-focused techniques—so each session feels both practical and culturally attuned. Supervised by an Illinois-licensed clinical psychologist, she offers a warm, collaborative space where clients can explore challenges, build resilience, and move toward meaningful change.

Experience
I have experience working with situational problems, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, interpersonal/relational issues, academic problems, addiction problems, and other mental health concerns. I utilize a multicultural and trauma-informed approach to therapy. I tailor the modalities, implementing an integrative, evidence-based style to meet client needs. Some of the methods and models are cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), rational emotive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, solution focus therapy, existential, humanistic, and integrative approaches
