PHILOSOPHY

I believe all people have a story to tell, and we can benefit when we have someone who listens with empathy and helps support us through this rocky narrative we call life. Through reflection and introspection into your unique history, we will work together to build skills, such as resiliency, self-esteem, self-advocacy, and work towards achieving your personal goals. Put simply, my main objective is to help you be the best version of yourself, and to give you the tools needed to continue in this direction when we are no longer working together.

APPROACH

My approach is evidence-based, client-centered, collaborative, and empathic. I work from both a strengths-based perspective and through a trauma-informed lens, while incorporating treatment modalities that are specific to each person’s needs. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy are all modalities I pull from to incorporate into my practice depending on what’s best for you.

I enjoy working with individuals living with depression, anxiety, OCD, and who are neurodivergent. Additionally, I am passionate about working with individuals going through life transitions, trauma-related concerns, relationship issues, LGBTQ+ issues, difficult family dynamics, and other life stressors. I also work with older children and their parents through individual and family sessions on topics including, but not limited to: communication, family conflicts, and parenting strategies.

EXPERIENCE

I have 9 years of clinical experience and have had the opportunity to work with different populations across the lifespan. From children in foster care to mature adults in nursing homes, I have a wide range of experience treating various presenting concerns. I received my Bachelor’s Degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison (Go Badgers!) and my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis. I love working with both individuals and their families.
